The PMHS Athletic Department has recently been informed of a company that is reaching out to student-athletes about NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals. THIS IS A SCAM. This is not a legitimate business and is in no way connected to or supported by PMHS. Please block this contact and do not engage with them on social media. Included below is a link to information regarding the NJSIAA's policy on NIL deals. Bullet #5 is one primary area where this current model violates the policy. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Athletic Office. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zdGIASjUt43_ZFszpWahPWyrydAoD1bw/view?usp=sharing

Congratulations to the Renaissance Teacher of the Year, Mr. Longstreth and Renaissance Student of the Year, Riley Bowman! You are both truly amazing, inspiring, and dedicated to PMHS! PMHS Renaissance Club is honored to give you this award! PMHS Renaissance Student of the Year will receive a certificate, trophy, and a $50.00 check. PMHS Renaissance Teacher of the Year will receive a $50.00 check and a trophy from the PMHS Renaissance Club!!!! Mr. Longstreth was nominated "8" times by his co-workers---we appreciate you!!! Don't forget your have a special parking spot as well!! Nominations for Mr. Longstreth included the following kind words: As our only ESL teacher, Mr. Longstreth is our one man welcoming committee for students who speak little to no English. His bright smile and calm demeanor immediately puts students at ease. He enriches both the culture and climate of our school by helping his students feel included all day, every day. He takes the time to learn about his students' diverse cultures. His lessons reflect the school’s climate and culture while recognizing and celebrating the students’ backgrounds. The students learn that their uniqueness is part of our school culture. Mr. Longstreth’s philosophy that every student can learn is reflected in his interactions with each student. He meets them on their individual levels. He translates assignments into their respective languages and modifies to meet their needs. He ensures that their work is both challenging and engaging. Mr. Longstreth has students in multiple classes at the same time. Usually, Mike is a streak passing by, bounding up and down the stairs, as he tends to students in the various classrooms. It is obvious by the looks on the students' faces that they are relieved when he arrives. During past years, he has organized activities for ESL students to foster social interaction with peers. This past year, he taught English classes in the evenings for the families of his ESL students. Mr. Longstreth takes an active role collaborating with both general and special education teachers. His insight and knowledge are invaluable. He volunteers to help in the classroom with hands-on activities. Kindness and consideration is evident in everything he does. He shows his concern with teacher morale by being an active member of the teacher's Social Committee. Nominations for Riley Bowman included the following kind words: Riley is a fantastic student and role model for her peers. She is always motivated to do well in class. She submits quality work, always going above and beyond expectations. She participates in all class discussions, providing insightful and thought-provoking responses. She is also the first student to assist a classmate in need. There are many times when Riley is seen helping another student because they are struggling. She is able to teach them the concepts which demonstrates her superior knowledge of the material. Riley is the most kind and respectful student that I have had the pleasure to teach. She consistently goes out of her way to ask how someone is doing and then she genuinely listens to the answer and responds accordingly. She is the first student to offer a smile and support to both her teachers and her classmates. Riley is involved in so many activities that positively impact the school climate and culture. Her most notable involvements would have to be Student Council and Executive Committee. She holds leadership roles with both clubs. Both groups organize events and policies for the student body at PMHS. Since she has a leadership role for both, she is an integral part of many positive things implemented at the high school. Also, in her conversations with her peers, she can be heard strategizing about improvements for the high school. She is always thinking of ways to make an impact. I think Riley is such a well-rounded and dedicated student. Not only does she excel at academics, but she also has wonderful qualities and characteristics that make her a fantastic person. She is such a hard working student and truly deserves the recognition for all of her time and achievements. Once again CONGRATULATIONS on this PRESTIGIOUS HONOR! Thank you for making PMHS such a special and happy place for students to learn and grow!

Seniors & Senior Parents: PMHS administration has been made aware that some seniors may be participating in a game called “Senior Assassin” where students use water guns in the community to "assassinate" other seniors who are part of this game. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL SPONSORED ACTIVITY NOR IS IT CONDONED IN ANY WAY BY THE ADMINISTRATION OR STAFF AT PMHS. In the event that this game or its players becomes a disruption to the educational process, the players of this game risk disciplinary action up to and including the inability to walk in graduation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Matthew D. McFarland, Principal
