The Student Success Center has been a welcome addition for academic enrichment opportunities throughout the school year for our students. We couldn't be happier with the turnout and with the number of students taking advantage for extra academic help. However, we have noticed that students that are struggling academically are showing up for the Success Center, but not to the classes or subjects that they need help in. Therefore, beginning tomorrow (Wednesday 4/20) students that are failing any classes for the year OR for the marking period will not be permitted in the library during the Success Center. Students that are entering the library must show their current grades to Mrs. Henderson prior to entry. Students that are failing courses will be rerouted to those teachers that will be able to help them in their particular areas of need. If Mrs. Henderson is not available for the day, the library will be closed for Student Success Center as well. Thanks for all of your support with Student Success Center this year! **The last day for the Student Success Center is Wednesday 6/1

Mrs. Strzalkowska's Hydrology class (semester 1) visited the Pennsville Water Department on Jan. 28th to see water treatment in action! Students saw pumps, chlorinated vs. non-chlorinated water, the chemical room, a well, the 'sludge' pond and the inside of the water tower. What a great, firsthand learning experience!

Some great work going on in Ms. Hollis' 8th Grade Honors English course. Frederick Douglass' credits his reading of "The Columbian Orator" to changing the course of his life. A powerful lesson was learned by Frederick Douglass in the reading of this collection of essays β€œThe moral which I gained from the dialogue was the power of truth over the conscience of even a slaveholder.” Reading and Education can open all of our minds to worlds and ideas we didn't know existed Attached are some great pieces of artwork hanging in our halls representing the profound impact a single piece of literature had on one of America's greats. Keep up the great work and keep reading!!
