Nominations for Mrs. Tanya Rinnier included the following kind words: Mrs. Rinnier does many things to help improve positivity in our school. She greets everyone with a genuine smile everyday. . Her room is comfortable and relaxed to be in .The students respect Mrs.Rinnier. Mrs. Rinnier treats everyone with kindness and fairness. She has a good sense of humor which makes the classroom fun and not tense. Mrs. Rinnier goes above and beyond. She is involved in so many activities that support the students. class advisor is just one of the things she does. Mrs. Rinnier has commendable classroom management. Mrs. Rinnier enforces the rules of the school as well as her own personal classroom rules. This is evident in the efficiency and efficacy of her classroom. She doesn’t even need to be there for the students to follow the procedures. Students feel safe and comfortable in her beautifully decorated classroom. This allows for students to be able to communicate with her during class and outside of the classroom as well. As a class advisor, she has created so many small events to commemorate the Class of 2026’s Senior Year. It started before the school year began, by helping students with painting their parking spots. She even found ways to help those students that couldn’t afford to buy the materials and ensured they had those supplies to participate. Even now, she is still thinking about ways to make the year unforgettable. She pours ever y ounce of her heart into any event or work she is doing and always puts the students first. Mrs. Rinnier has volunteered to be on the School Improvement Team. She is a dedicated educator, a positive leader, an advocate for students, and a valued colleague. Her impact extends far beyond the walls of her classroom. She works tirelessly to create meaningful experiences for students, foster school spirit, and build a culture where students feel supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed. Mrs.Rinnier embodies all of the qualities associated with being Teacher of the Year. She leads with her heart, serves with dedication, and makes a lasting difference in the lives of the students and staff she encounters every day.
Nominations for Sawyer Humphreys included the following kind words: Sawyer is currently 6th in his class and was also recognized by Mr. Williams for his talents in the GMT program; being recognized at the Salem County Breakfast. Sawyer took rigorous AP classes throughout his high school career and is spoken highly of by these teachers. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Sawyer always has a smile on his face, kind words for teachers and students, and overall a great personality. Sawyer is also a great role model for our school, be it academically, social, activities, the band or sports. As a teacher, I have seen first hand how he influences the Freshmen members of the band. Multiple 8th grade students were convinced to continue with music in HS just from Sawyer's influence over the past year. They respect him greatly and can turn to him for anything they need. He is truly a Renaissance Man for the many different activities that he does. From his coaches' perspectives, the younger tennis players also look up to him and respect his playing ability and overall sportsmanship on the court. Sawyer is involved in our school in many ways. Sawyer was the Drum Major of the marching band and is a member of the Jazz Band (playing trombone.) Sawyer was part of the school play by heading the stage crew.....General Stage Manager. He has done this for the past two years. Sawyer is also a member of the National Honor Society, Tri M Honor Society, Book Club and Drama Club. Sawyer was also a 4 year member of the tennis team, a 3 year starter and this year played 1st singles, being the best tennis player on the team. On weekends, once a month, he is completing his Delaware National Guard basic training program. He plans to attend the University of Delaware. He was also picked as the Senior Homecoming King, as voted on by the school. He is a young man that is self driven, intelligent, and knows where he is going in his life. Sawyer is a once in a lifetime student and deserves to be recognized as Pennsville's Student of the Year. He makes the school a better place in many areas, not just music. He's an excellent athlete, artist, and musician. At the same time, he is starting his military career in the air force reserves. He juggles all of this with professionalism and responsibility.

Tickets can be purchased in advance (https://www.gobound.com/nj/schools/pennsvillememorialhs/tickets) or at the gate with a Credit Card, Debit Card, or any Digital Wallet method. Cash will NOT be accepted. The Class of 2029 will be selling refreshments at our snack stand throughout the event. Salem County Track and Field Championship T-shirts will be on sale at the main gate while supplies last. We will be recognizing ALL senior athletes from each of our 5 competing High Schools on the stadium field during the event. #GoEagles

Reminder about the Second Annual Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest.
This year's contest theme is specially aligned with the nation's upcoming Semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026 (America 250).
The contest is open to Pennsville students (grades K-12, with emphasis on elementary through high school).
Original artwork only (specific size/format limits to be confirmed, e.g., suitable for scanning/photographing submissions).
Submissions due to art teachers or dto the main office by April 24th.
Certificates, recognition, prizes and ties to America250 initiatives.

MEETING DATE CHANGE
The date of the regular action meeting of the Pennsville Board of Education scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026 has been changed and will now be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Board Room at 30 Church Street, Pennsville, New Jersey for the purpose of conducting a regular action meeting of the Board and any other matters deemed necessary at this meeting.

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Wrestlers who competed this past weekend in their respective District Tournaments and qualified for their Regional Tournament this coming weekend. The Boys Regional tournament is hosted at Williamstown HS on Friday, March 6th (4 pm) and Saturday, March 7th (9 am), while the girls will travel to Absegami High School on Sunday, March 8th (9 am). #GoEagles
Looking for something to do this evening (2/25)? Stop out to the Davidow Theater on the campus of Salem Community College this evening to support our Academic League teams from both Pennsville Middle School and Pennsville High School as they compete in the Chemours Salem County Academic League Finals. The Middle School team is competing against Oldmans Township @ 5:30pm, and the High School Team will take on Woodstown HS immediately following the Middle School event. These kids have worked hard all season and are now one win away from a County Championship in this Academic Season. Hope to see you there - admission is free. #GoEagles
