On February 23, 2025, selected 4th grade students from Penn Beach Elementary participated in the Head Start in Harmony Festival. This festival gathered students from all over South Jersey to prepare, rehearse and perform Barbershop style music, made up of very difficult four-part harmonies. This festival is one of the only elementary barbershop festivals in the world and we are proud of their hard work and wonderful performance! February is Love the Bus Month! This month we will take time to appreciate our student transportation vehicles - school buses of all sizes and colors. We send our appreciation to the many hard working school bus drivers and aides who spend their time making sure our students get to school and back safely. Lastly, we want to recognize those who work in student transportation offices behind the scenes ensuring each day runs smoothly. To celebrate we have deemed Wednesday, February 12, 2025, as wear yellow day. Show your support of student transportation by showcasing your favorite yellow clothing, shoes, or accessories.

A huge thank you to Gail Mangiocco, from the Pennsville Historical Society, who made an informative presentation about the history of Pennsville to our grade 4 and 5 students today. We took this opportunity to present Gail with a $1,178 donation to the Historical Society. Penn Beach raised this money through an Applebee's Dine to Donate and state testing positive memo initiative.

The PMHS Class of 2027 will be selling graduation lawn signs to celebrate your graduating 5th, 8th, or 12th grader. Signs are customizable, full-color, double-sided, and measure 24x18. Signs are just $20 each. Ordering information is located in the photo.

Penn Beach would like to thank the parents and students who donated to our community service event for November and December. We were able to give our local Fire, Police and EMS departments a large bin of snacks, candies and cards. They really appreciated it! Thank you again!

Our focus this month will be on The Pennsville Police Department, The Pennsville Fire and Emergency Medical Services (Station 5), and The Deepwater Fire Department (Station 7).
