In July this year, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) voted in favor of granting full recognition to the International Cheer Union (ICU) and cheerleading. This milestone paves the way to make this traditionally American example of teamwork eligible to request its inclusion on the program of future Olympic Games.
Cheerleading is an intense sport that is not only competitive, but also incredibly physically demanding. Athletes dedicate a lot of time and energy to become great a it. They spend a lot of time at the gym working hard to improve and we cannot wait to see some of our own students representing our country abroad one day.
