English Department Summer Reading 2009

     
The PMHS English Department has a summer reading requirement. The reading selection will depend on which English course you have selected for next year. Books are available from the school to rent or at the following stores to purchase: Borders Books and Barnes and Noble. Pennsville’s Public Library has copies of most of these books to borrow, but obviously, not enough for everyone.  Also, you can find all of the summer readings online from Amazon.com.

*ALL incoming 9th grade students are required to complete one of several possible projects concerning one of their required summer reading books.  Project packets are linked below or can be picked up in the high school main office.  Completed projects will be collected by your child's English teacher on the first day of school in September and will be graded.

Students will receive a summer reading packet to guide them as they complete a project for their assigned reading. Extras will be available throughout the summer in the high school office or you can print one from the link below. Completed projects will be collected by your English teacher on the first day of school in September and will be graded.  All students who have required reading will be given a graded assessment of their assigned books upon return to school in September as well.
