Additional Considerations

  • Paper is an extension of the
    5-paragraph essay.

  • 4-6 week project

  • MLA format--including heading, margins, spacing,  parenthetical citations, works cited page

  • Final Paper Points – 200 (two test grades)

  • "Projects" - slide presentation, multimedia presentation, speech

  • , et al.
  •  No '.com’s' as sources from the Internet unless approved by instructor.

  • Both rough draft and the final copy MUST be typed.

  • Note cards are to be used for the "meat" of your research. Include all citations on note cards.

  • Outlines are used as a rough sketch of how you will organize the information written on your note cards.

  • A purpose statement paper/project simply states the purpose behind conducting the research.

  • A thesis paper is utilized in more sophisticated writing to prove or disprove the research topic.
